Patient Family Advisory Council

We have developed a Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) in accordance with regulations mandated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The purpose of this council is to provide a forum that enables patients and family members to have direct input into the development of policies, programs and practices at all our hospitals, satellites and clinics. Specifically, this group is empowered to advise on:

  • Patient and Provider Relationships
  • Hospital Research Projects
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives
  • Patient Education on Safety and Quality Concerns

The group consists of current or former patients and/or family members and staff, where at least 50 percent of the council is current or former patients/families.  The PFAC is empowered to review and advise all matters brought before the group and may include issues related to education, quality, safety or other programs, policies, procedures or concerns.

Annual reports are developed and posted each October.   Click to see PFAC Annual Report for Braintree Rehabilitiaton Hospital or New England Rehabilitation Hospital.
